Thanks for taking the time consider staying in one of our properties on Kangaroo Island.
We really hope you decide to stay in our one of our apartments or at our camp ground; and if you decide to book with us, we really hope you enjoy your stay and making memories on KI like our family has!
Here’s a bit info about us and about our properties on KI….
We’re a family of 5- Sean is Dad, Kirsty is Mum and the kids are Finnigan, Aobh and Rafferty (yes, Sean is Irish, hence the Irish names!). We live in the Western Suburbs of Adelaide and we own a cleaning company, O’Shea’s Organisation.
Sean has been a fan and frequent visitor to Kangaroo Island for many, many years. After immigrating from Ireland, Sean discovered KI through some friends and instantly fell in love with the way it captured the incredible beauty that remote parts of Australia offer (he is also a massive fan of Western Queensland and places such as Longreach).
After many hunting, camping and fishing trips, Sean purchased a block of land/ farm near Flinders Chase and for many years we made the journey over to camp as a family…….. and we made some incredible memories…… beach trips, camp fires, 4 wheel driving, fishing, long walks, yummy camp fire food, windy trips on the ferry and much, much more. This property has been named, “Bush Marron Escape”.
Kirsty who also loves camping, but also loved the idea of a holiday house, used to check out the real estate in the front windows of the real estate agents in Dauncey Street in Kingscote. It was during a stop in Kingscote to visit the Rabbit Warren Bakery (Kirsty Loves this bakery), that Kirsty saw a shabby, small block of 3 units for sale in Kingscote.
Upon inspecting the units the kids almost died- they were in dire need of TLC. Kirsty could instantly see past the crazy mess to a sweet, neat, small block of units. So, they did what anyone would do and they went right ahead and purchased the block! This property has been named, “Investigator Beach Breeze Apartments”.
Most recently we have acquired a block of units at Baudin Beach, its a small neat block, of 3 units, located 300m from a beautiful, mostly untouched beach. This property has been named, “Baudin Beach Breeze Apartments”.
Many, many trips have been spent renovating and improving all 3 properties, so that our guests can have amazing experiences!
Investigator Beach Breeze Apartments, located in Kingscote, close to shops and food options, is a small block of 3 x 2 bedroom apartments:

Baudin Beach Breeze Apartments, located in Baudin Beach, close to the ferry in Penneshaw, is a small block of 2 x 3 bedroom units and 1 x studio.

Finishing touches are taking place on this property and it is due to become available for guests to book from late 2024. Watch this space!
Bookings for this property will be available from late 2024 on the following booking platforms:
“Bush Marron Escape” located in Gosse, is a beautiful, remote, rural 250 acre private property (sheep farm) in the Western River area (western end, near Flinders Chase National Park) of beautiful KI!
Rest assured, you will not see any neighbours on this property; just picturesque landscapes everywhere you look! It is approximately a 1.5 hour drive from Penneshaw, where you get off the ferry.
Bush Marron escape offers, 1 x cabin and 2 x powered campsites:
- Catmans Hilltop Cabin
- Powered site 1- PS1
- Powered site 2- PS2
This property boasts:
- Drop dunny
- Running tank water
- Power/ electricity
- Fire pits
- Picturesque scenery
- 4WDing tracks
- Walking tracks
We are currently in the process of adding the following accommodation options:
1 x cabin – “The Shearing Shed”
1 x powered site- Powered Site 3
2 x unpowered sites- Unpowered site 1 & Unpowered site 2
These new accommodation options are expected to be available to accept bookings mid 2024, watch this space!

I’m not gonna lie……. Having properties on KI whilst living on the mainland isn’t easy…….. but we absolutely adore the little havens that we have created and we treasure the amazing family memories we have created on KI………. and we hope you do to!!
One of our favourite memories was our trip to Kelly Hill Caves- it’s a must do! The kids love swimming in the Tidal Pool in Kingscote and I’m telling you………. You must try the Rabbit Warren Bakery! The best coffee is at Café Scrumptious and the honey ice-cream at the Beehive will rock your socks! If you’re into art…….. check out Sheps Gallery- fabulous!
We will continue, whilst we own these properties, to make them better…. Perhaps a ladder into the dam for swimming at the campground, some more lush plants in the gardens at the units…..
Please feel free to send us any ideas you might have- we’d love to hear what you think!
And please take super good care of the little havens we have worked so hard to create. Please put your rubbish in the bin, take care of our bits and pieces and please don’t smoke inside! We know you wouldn’t but please be sure not to take any of our belongings…. The kitchen gear, towels, linen, TV’s and remotes, games etc are all provided for all our convenience and future guests thank you for taking super good care of them……. And so do we!
